An esports prediction game for your community can be more than a bracket: a play-for-fun sportsbook gives your members real odds on the matches they already watch, pre-match and live, with free tokens and automatic settlement. Esports titles appear as leagues, so you pick the games your community plays and brand the sportsbook as your own. No real money is staked or won.
Key takeaways
- Esports titles appear as leagues. Pick the ones your community follows, one by one.
- Pre-match on every plan; live betting as a Custom add-on or included in Full.
- Brand it with your team's or community's colors and logo in the Studio.
- No skins, tradeable items, game keys or gifted subs as rewards. Recognition only.
- Don't suggest affiliation with any game publisher, league or tournament organizer.
- 18+ only. If your community skews younger, this isn't the right feature.

Why an esports prediction game suits communities that live online
Esports audiences are the easiest audience to bring to a web page: they already watch on streaming platforms, talk on Discord, and follow results on community sites. An esports team's fan server, a tournament organizer's site, an esports news site or a creator's channel all have people who argue about who'll take the series.
A predictor or pick'em covers the basics. A play-for-fun sportsbook adds what those don't: odds that reflect the matchup, markets beyond the series winner, accumulators across a tournament day, and live betting while the match is on. Everything settles automatically, so nobody on your team has to mark results at 2 a.m. after the last map.
How esports appears: titles as leagues
Esports is one of the 11 sports in The Sportsbook. Inside it, esports titles appear as leagues. In the console you add leagues one by one from a catalog of more than a thousand across all sports. There's no "select all" switch on any plan, which suits esports well: a community built around one game rarely wants the others cluttering its match list.
A newly picked league starts showing its matches within about two minutes. The number of leagues you can add depends on your plan: up to three on Free, five per sport on Custom plus packs of five, and unlimited on Full, always picked one by one.
What you'll see for each match is the market list we carry for it. You can hide markets you don't want per sport in the console, on every plan. We can't promise a specific tournament will always be listed; check the catalog or the live demo (opens in a new tab) for today's coverage.
Pre-match and live
Pre-match betting is on every plan, including Free. For a tournament day, it's the natural start: members build an accumulator across the day's series before the first match.
Live betting is where esports shines, because the momentum swings are big and fast. It's a Custom add-on at $79 a month ($63 billed yearly) or included in Full, at the time of writing (September 2026); see pricing. Live bets wait a short acceptance window and are re-checked against the current price, so a bet placed just after a decisive round isn't accepted at a stale price.
Settlement is automatic. Most bets settle minutes after a match ends; a few wait for official results or a check by our team. If a result is corrected later, the bet is re-settled.
Tokens, seasons and team-themed branding
Tokens. Every member starts with the same balance and gets a free refill when they run out, through the "Get more tokens" button and your own refill code. Free activity can earn tokens too (watch time on your streams, taking part in match-day threads, attending a free community event) at the same rate for everyone. How to design a free token economy covers balance sizing and refills.
Seasons. Esports already runs in splits, stages and majors. Line your seasons up with them: reset balances when a split starts, crown a champion at the end, keep the standings. It gives members a reason to come back for the next stage. Between splits, keep the sportsbook open for the international events your community follows, or switch on maintenance mode with a message that says when the next season starts, so nobody wonders whether it's been abandoned. If you publish standings, rank by net tokens over the split rather than final balance, so a single lucky longshot on the last day doesn't decide the champion.
Branding. The Studio in the console lets you match the sportsbook to your team or community: six presets as a starting point (Dark neutral and Midnight blue suit most esports sites), every color, your logo and favicon, and a token label in your community's own words. Paid plans add Google Fonts or your own font files, density and odds-button styles. It checks text and odds colors for contrast before you save, and saved changes reach open sportsbooks within seconds. The full walkthrough is in how to brand a white-label sportsbook.
Use only names, logos and imagery you own or have permission to use. Our policy doesn't allow content that infringes the trademarks of leagues, teams or other rights holders, or that suggests your sportsbook is affiliated with any league, team, event organizer or data source. An esports team can brand the sportsbook as its own; a fan community shouldn't dress it up as an official tournament product.
Keep it clean: no skins, no tradeable items, no gifted subs
Esports communities have a particular temptation: skins and in-game items are the obvious "prize", and item-based betting has a complicated history in the scene. A play-for-fun sportsbook has to stay well clear of it.
Nothing of value goes in:
- tokens can't be converted from skins, in-game currencies or any item that was bought or can be traded;
- tokens can't come with a game purchase, a battle pass or a paid subscription;
- donations, bits and gifted subs never grant tokens.
Nothing of value comes out:
- no skins, cases, keys, in-game currencies or items that can be bought, sold, traded or transferred;
- no gifted subscriptions, merchandise, gift cards or event tickets;
- no giveaway entries tied to sportsbook results or to having played.
Tokens also can't be put on a blockchain or turned into anything transferable, and players can't send tokens to each other.
What's left is recognition, which esports communities are good at: a "Series Oracle" title, a Discord role, a flair on your site, a mention by nickname on your stream. "Leaderboard positions, badges, titles and community roles are fine; prizes of value are not."
And the age line matters more here than almost anywhere. Players must be 18 or older, and the sportsbook must not be aimed at minors. Many esports audiences include teenagers; if yours does, age assurance that fits your audience is your responsibility, and if a large share of your community is under 18 this isn't the right feature for it.
Where it runs
The sportsbook runs on your website, inside an iframe, for members who are signed in there. Your server opens each session with your API key; your page mounts the embed with two lines of HTML. There's no Discord bot, Twitch extension or in-game integration. Link to it from your stream, chat or Discord.
For a Discord-centered community, how to run a sports betting game for your Discord community covers Discord sign-in, identity and roles. For a creator, the sportsbook for streamers guide covers overlays and on-stream recognition.

Frequently asked questions
Which esports games are covered?
Esports titles appear as leagues in the catalog. You pick the ones your community plays, one by one, in the console. Coverage depends on which competitions are on, so browse the catalog or the live demo to see what's listed today.
Can I reward the top predictors with skins or in-game items?
No. Skins, cases, in-game currencies and items that can be bought, sold or traded count as things of value. So do gifted subscriptions and game keys. Recognition is fine: a title, a badge, a Discord role or a mention by nickname.
Can an esports team use its own branding?
Yes, your own. Colors, logo, favicon and token label are on every plan; fonts, density and odds-button styles on paid plans. Use only branding you own or are allowed to use, and don't suggest the sportsbook is affiliated with a league, tournament organizer or game publisher.
Is there live betting on esports matches?
Live betting is a Custom add-on or included in Full, and it covers esports matches that have live markets. The Free plan is pre-match only, which still works for picks before a tournament day.
