This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies The Sportsbook ("we", "us") uses on its websites and services (listed in section 4), and why. It complements our Privacy Policy.
- No analytics, no advertising, no tracking. We do not use cookies or any other technology to measure audiences, profile you, show you ads or follow you across sites.
- Our website thesportsbook.app and our documentation at docs.thesportsbook.app store nothing in your browser.
- The embedded sportsbook sets one cookie, for the player's session. Otherwise it keeps in the browser only what it needs to work and the settings the player picks.
- The console and the playground store only what they need to work (for example keeping you signed in) and choices you make (for example closing a notice). The law does not require consent for this, so we do not show a cookie banner.
- Google's sign-in code loads only after you click "Continue with Google", and a streaming platform's player only after you click to watch a match stream. On live match pages the embedded sportsbook also receives the match visualisation, and for some matches video, directly from third-party live match data services. Section 5 explains what they may store.

4.1 thesportsbook.app and docs.thesportsbook.app
None. These sites set no cookies, use no local or session storage, run no analytics and load no content from third parties while you browse (our fonts are served from our own site). The "Request a demo" form sends what you type to our server; it stores nothing in your browser.
4.2 The embedded sportsbook: play.thesportsbook.app and api.thesportsbook.app
The embedded sportsbook is run by the operator of the site where you play; we provide it on the operator's behalf. It uses the following storage:

Apart from the session cookie above, the embedded sportsbook sets no cookies, and it does not use analytics, advertising or fingerprinting. The operator's own page, around the frame, is the operator's responsibility and may use its own cookies: see the operator's cookie policy. Most browsers keep the storage above separate for each site where the sportsbook appears.

The console also shows a live preview of your sportsbook, which uses the storage listed in section 4.2. On the sign-in, sign-up and invitation pages, Google's sign-in code loads only if you click "Continue with Google": see section 5.1.

The playground contains the embedded sportsbook, which uses the storage listed in section 4.2.
4.5 admin.thesportsbook.app
This site is used only by our own staff. It uses storage to keep staff signed in and a cookie that remembers the side menu state.
Everything the embedded sportsbook, the console and the playground show, including fonts, is served from our own domains or through our service providers, except in the cases below. In these cases, content loads directly from another company's servers. That company then receives your IP address and browser information and may use its own cookies, under its own privacy and cookie policies. We do not receive or control those cookies.
5.1 "Continue with Google" (console sign-in, sign-up and invitation pages)
Google's sign-in code loads only after you click "Continue with Google". Until then, the page makes no request to Google. After you click, Google receives your IP address and may read or set its own cookies to sign you in, under Google's Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab). If you do not want Google involved, use your email and password.
5.2 Match streams in the embedded sportsbook
On some live matches for which the operator has set up a public stream, the embedded sportsbook offers the stream in the official player of the streaming platform (Twitch, YouTube or Kick). The player loads only after you click to watch, and the sportsbook tells you first that the platform may set its own cookies. YouTube videos load from youtube-nocookie.com. Once loaded, the platform may set its own cookies and collect information under its own policies: Twitch (opens in a new tab), YouTube / Google (opens in a new tab), Kick (opens in a new tab).
5.3 Images hosted by operators
If an operator shows a logo or icon hosted on its own or another site instead of uploading it to us, the browser fetches the image from that site, which receives the IP address and the page address.
5.4 Live match data
On pages of live matches, the embedded sportsbook connects directly to the servers of third-party live match data services to show the match visualisation and, for some matches, video from the data provider. These connections store no cookies of ours; the services receive your IP address, browser information and the match being viewed.
If you embed The Sportsbook on your site or app, you are responsible for your own page and for the cookie and privacy information you give your players. The embedded sportsbook only uses the storage in section 4.2 and the content described in section 5, and you may refer your players to this policy for it. We do not use the frame to track your players, and we do not add analytics or advertising to it. If you add cookies or scripts of your own around the frame, or show images hosted elsewhere, their compliance is your responsibility.
You can see, block and delete cookies and site storage in your browser settings. The help pages of the main browsers explain how: Chrome (opens in a new tab), Firefox (opens in a new tab), Safari (opens in a new tab), Edge (opens in a new tab).
What happens if you do:
- Console: you will be signed out and some notices will reappear.
- Playground: you will start again as a new visitor with a new demo balance; your earlier demo bets will no longer be shown to you.
- Embedded sportsbook: the odds format, favourites, pinned markets and bet slip will reset. If the browser blocks all storage for the sportsbook's frame, the sportsbook may not work. Blocking third-party cookies does not stop it from working: the session cookie is only a fallback.
We will update this policy if we change what we store, and publish the new version here with its effective date. If we ever want to use cookies that need your consent, we will ask for it first, and you will be able to change your choice at any time.
