These terms apply when you use the playground at demo.thesportsbook.app (the "Playground"), a public demonstration of The Sportsbook provided by The Sportsbook ("we", "us"). By using the Playground you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, don't use it.
The Playground lets you try The Sportsbook, our business software for play-for-fun sportsbooks, without signing up. We run the Playground and we are the organiser of the demo game in it. It is a free demonstration: nothing of value can be staked, paid or won in it. It is not an operator's sportsbook and it is not offered as a game for a community.
You may use the Playground only if you are at least 18 years old, or older where the law of the place you are in sets a higher age for betting games, including simulated ones. Don't use it where the law doesn't allow such games. By continuing past the 18+ notice you confirm that you meet this rule.
- The Playground uses free demo tokens. They are not money, a currency, a crypto-asset or property of any kind, and they have no monetary value.
- Demo tokens can't be bought, sold, transferred, redeemed, cashed out or exchanged for money or anything else of value. No real money is staked, won or paid out.
- There are no prizes, contests, rewards or promotions in the Playground. Using it gives you no right to anything.
- You must not offer, give or accept anything of value in connection with demo tokens, demo bets or their results, and you must not use the Playground for a contest, giveaway or promotion.
Demo balances and demo bets exist only so you can continue the demo. We may reset or top up balances, void or re-settle demo bets, delete demo data, and change, limit, suspend or withdraw the Playground at any time and without notice.
Odds, fixtures, results and live match information come from third-party sources, are shown for demonstration only, and may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Nothing in the Playground is betting advice. The Playground is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any league, team, athlete or event organiser.
You must not:
- access or copy the Playground or its data by automated means, such as bots or scrapers;
- overload, probe or attack it, or try to get around its limits;
- extract or reuse the sports data shown in it;
- reverse engineer it, except where the law allows you to;
- use it for anything unlawful, or present it as your own sportsbook or as real-money betting.
We may block access from anyone who breaks these terms.
The Playground is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available", and it may be unavailable or contain errors. To the extent the law allows, we give no warranty about it and are not liable for any loss arising from its use. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.
How we handle the data of Playground visitors is explained in section 4.5 of our Privacy Policy. What the Playground stores in your browser is explained in section 4.4 of our Cookie Policy.
The Playground is not part of any agreement with operators, and you must not use it for your community, stream or players. To run your own sportsbook, create an account and accept our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use & Play-for-Fun Policy.
We may update these terms by publishing a new version on this page. The version in force when you use the Playground applies. These terms are governed by the law of Spain. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live and may bring proceedings there.
